English abstract:
The article gives an overview of different types of timber construction of external walls that are suitable for low-energy houses. Traditional systems, as well as more innovative ones, are discussed. Besides the suitability of buildings and the physics of wall construction, the ecology and sustainability are also considered. Besides that the characteristics of renewable insulation materials are compared to the conventional types like mineral wool and polystyrene.

Die Arbeit gibt einen Überblick über unterschiedliche Holzbauweisen, die für Außenwände von Niedrigenergiegebäuden geeignet sind. Sowohl traditionelle als auch neu entwickelte Systeme werden vorgestellt. Da es auch bei den Dämmstoffen interessante Entwicklungen gibt, werden neben den konventionellen Vertretern, Mineralwolle und Polystyrol, vor allem nachwachsende Dämm-materialien behandelt. Neben der bauphysikalischen Eignung eines Wandaufbaus wird auch dessen Ökologie und ökologische Nachhaltigkeit beleuchtet.
