English abstract:
In the present paper the main difficulties that facility-service providers encounter when they enter the bid for a contract to maintain distributed facilities and equipment are investigated. The two core problems related to this process, namely the advance estimate of costs and on the other hand the generation of an optimum work-schedule and its enforcement are described. In the next step different strategies (including heuristics and agent-based algorithms) for estimation of working- and driving times which lead to the solution of the first problem are analyzed, and a possible approach to the second problem faced is sketched. As optimization is fairly new in the area of Facility Management (FM), we expect that enhancements of workflow- and workforce-management are possible and of vital interest to providers of facility-services.
