English abstract:
The contribution presents analytical, semi-analytical and numerical continuum-level descriptions for studying the macroscopic and local thermomechanical and thermophysical behaviors of discontinuously reinforced composites, the main emphasis being put on metallic matrices reinforced by diamond particles. The ideas underlying the modeling approaches are introduced, their weaknesses and strengths are discussed, and some applications are presented.
