Energy and Material Efficiency - Research Activities in the Austrian Center of Competence for Tribology. This paper describes the organizational structure and the research activities in the Austrian Kplus Center of Competence of Tribology. By means of several examples the interdisciplinary approach to solve scientific questions in the fields friction, wear and lubrication will be shown.

Der vorliegende Beitrag beschreibt die organisatorische Struktur und die Forschungsaktivitäten im österreichischen Kplus-Kompetenzzentrum für Tribologie. Anhand von ausgewählten Beispielen wird die interdisziplinäre Herangehensweise an die Lösung wissenschaftlicher Fragestellungen im Bereich Reibung, Verschleiß und Schmierstoffanwendung dargestellt.
