A look at the architecture of an OpenSER-based IMS testbed and our experiences gained during the concept and implementation phase. By means of OpenSource-based traffic generators and WAN emulators we can simulate different IMS topologies and test IMS prototypes on reliability and robustness. We conclude with our perspectives on the future of IMS and its impact on free IP-based telephony.

A look at the architecture of an OpenSER-based IMS testbed and our experiences gained during the concept and implementation phase.
