English abstract:
The focus of this paper is the extraction of saturation and slotting saliencies components in star connected cage induction machines operating at low frequencies. It is shown that the variation of leakage inductance due to either saturation or rotor slotting can be extracted by evaluating the derivative of the three phase currents in response to the application of appropriate voltage test pulses. Discrete Fourier transform algorithm is utilized for extraction different harmonic orders in a specific window length during load and speed change operations. Experimental results are given to verify the applicability of the proposed method for sensorless control.
