"DNS-curves in a Production/Inventory Model";
Talk: 23rd European Conference on Operational Research, Bonn; 2009-07-05 - 2009-07-08.

English abstract:
We investigate the bifurcation behaviour of an inventory/production
model close to a Hamilton-Hopf bifurcation. For a subcritical
bifurcation scenario two competing long term strategies exist, the
steady state solution and a hyperbolic limit cycle. The DNS-curve,
separating the domain of attraction of these solutions, may contain
self-intersections, which lead to a threefold DNS-point in state
space, where three different optimal trajectories yielding the same
cost emerge.
