English abstract:
Additives which cover the surfaces in engine bearings are often wom away during operation. Since the formation of a new film is influenced by many parameters, the film density and quality may vary
considerably, Molecular dynamics simulations have been successfuHy used to study fundamental tribological processes and boundary lubricated systems in the past 20 years [1]. In the present work, the tribological performance of two prototypical automotive lubricant
additives is studied and compared at various surface densities based on computational shear experiments.
