English abstract:
This paper presents the concept of snapshots for knowledge
management in distributed cooperative work environments. Snapshots are used
to record important stages of collaborative project work, provide mechanisms
for indexing, retrieval and visualization of relevant data for users in form of
suggestions. They combine meta-level information with content and enable
additional tagging and commenting. A prototype SUGGEST! has been
developed to implement and evaluateknowledge management system.

Keywords:
Knowledge management, information retrieval, snapshots
