English abstract:
The last unknown mononuclear chlorine oxide has been found, Yellow ClO4 was generated by vacuum thermolysis of Cl2O6 or Cl2O7 and isolated in a Ne matrix. The C3v-symmetric structure shown on the right with one long (153 pm) and three short (142 pm) ClO bonds was deduced from the IR spectra of the radical.
