English abstract:
For the simulation of the mechanical performance of laminated structures made of fiber reinforced polymers, a constitutive model for the nonlinear behavior of the smeared out ply material is desired. Such a constitutive model has been developed by the authors which accounts for non-linearities induced by stiffness degradation and unrecoverable strain accumulation. This constitutive model is briefly reviewed; the implementation as user defined material routine for the commercial FEM package Abaqus/Standard 6.9 as well as the computation of the material Jacobian matrix is discussed in more detail. Furthermore, the application of the constitutive model is demonstrated by presenting some simulation results from structural analyses. The results show that crucial intra-ply mechanisms are captured well by the proposed constitutive model.
