Kurzfassung englisch:
In open source software (OSS) developing communities, a variety of management, operational and advisory tasks have to be performed. Depending on the organizational structure, these tasks are more or less strictly defined. On a second level, the members of these communities also exhibit a social behavior in their every day working life. In the OSS project R, a program for statistical computing,
part of the developers' behavior is recorded by the R-devel and R-help mailing lists. To examine the relationship between formal organization and the communication structure in the mailing lists, we will introduce a combination of centrality measure and clustering approach called weighted distance to nearest center (WDNC).
