English abstract:
This contribution elaborates, classifies and compares features of modern simulation systems, with special emphasis on physical modelling. After a short review of classical features and evaluation in classic simulators, structural features are introduced, which reflect the developments in the last decade: object-oriented approach, a-causal modelling, physical modelling, structural dynamic systems, modelling standardisations as Modelica and VHDL-AMS, and impacts from computer engineering (e.g. state charts).
As result, a classification and comparison of structural features in modern simulators is presented and discussed, concentrating on primary representatives of simulation systems;
the classification is based on solutions to the ARGESIM Benchmarks - Benchmarks for Modelling and Simulation Techniques, published in ASIMīs scientific journal SNE - Simulation News Europe.
