Welcome to the eighth annual conference on Principles and Practice of Programming in Java (PPPJ 2010). Looking forward to the conference we hope that the exchange of ideas among researchers will lead to interesting discussions and maybe even to new cooperations.

Organizing this conference would have been impossible without the help of many dedicated individuals, who we would like to mention here.
