Kurzfassung englisch:
A new grate model for control design of a grate stoker biomass
furnace is presented. Therefore, not only accuracy but also low complexity associated with technologically correct characteristics is sought for. The presented grate model extends existing work by introducing spatially varying combustion zones on the grate. They can model the varying position of char burning on the grate depending on the combustion conditions. Moreover, the stoking action of grate activity and primary air are incorporated. The model performance is compared to an existing model and validated against measured data.
