UHF-RFID (ultra high frequency - radio frequency identification) systems have gained importance for road tolling applications. They allow for low-price and batteryless transponders but rise several technical problems. This article show how these problems can be identified and solved by means of emulating the radio channel's and the transponder's behavior.
