Kurzfassung englisch:
Due to increased thermal comfort requirements of passengers
it is necessary to employ heating, ventilation and air condition units in
trams. These units can consume up to one-third of the total operational
energy. To identify energy saving potential, it is necessary to develop a
holistic thermal model of the tram vehicle, and for further optimisation
the model needs to be real-time capable, e.g. model based control design.
Hence, in this study a holistic, thermal simulation model of the Viennese
tram is presented, based on basic equations of thermodynamics and mass
balances. Some parameters have been adjusted with measurement data
from the climatic wind tunnel in Vienna. This generic approach facilitates
efficient parametrisation of other vehicles. Cross validation results of the
simulation model are shown.
