English abstract:
The mathematical analysis, modelling and validation of an AlN piezoelectric microgenerator utilizing a radioisotope source are presented and discussed. The device employs tritiated silicon as a radioisotope source to drive the charging and actuating cycles of the bimorph piezoelectric cantilever. Very good agreement between the analytical modelling and experimental findings was obtained. This autonomous microgenerator opens the way for self-powered miniaturized devices.

Keywords:
AlN piezoelectric energy harveste; tritiated silicon; self powered microdevices
