English abstract:
In urban areas a good alternative for multi-storey buildings are modern timber structures with big openings in the façade. This is why innovative bracing systems are desirable and should be more investigated. According to that fact 3 projects combining testing and modelling were carried out. As a result we expect "well designed" multi storey timber structures to show good behaviour in case of earthquake. We assume that for high rise buildings the load case wind will be significant for the tension anchor forces and the inter-storey drift.
