English abstract:
Alternative fuels for spark ignition engines (especially alcohols) open up an optimal motor application and increased full-load potential compared to conventional gasoline. Thereby besides the knock resistance of fuels other factors play an important role. Of an great importance in this regard is the fuel mixture preparation, which depends essentially on the boiling and evaporation behavior of the fuel. Alcohol blend components differ substantially in this property range to conventional gasoline. Research showed that this different evaporation behavior, depending on the mixture preparation system and combustion process (MPFI natural aspirated and turbo DI engine) has occasionally even an opposite effect on the full load potential - which is analyzed in more depth in the following paper.
