Kurzfassung englisch:
A test stand was designed and built to investigate vibrations due to parametric excitation. Parametric stiffness excitation is realized by an electromagnetic actuator. Due to the inherent nonlinear relation between force and deflection of the actuator, this parametrically excited system shows a significant nonlinearity. The system exhibits unstable behaviour at certain PE-frequencies which are related to the natural frequencies of the linearized system. In this experimental study, the focus is put on the verification of predicted so-called parametric resonance frequencies. The influence of the nonlinearity of the actuator is examined and results are compared with the equivalent linear system. Also a mathematical model was established for the test stand and numerical results are obtained by timeintegration of the nonlinear differential equations. Both results agree very well and the simulation model provides a reliable tool to predict the behaviour of the nonlinear system.
