This thesis evaluates the requirements for an Animal Health Record (AHR).
Specially, this work is limited to small animals and the demands of the veterinary medicine. Although specific applications of the software industry are already available, currently there are only a few scientifically evaluated publications on the subject of AHR for small animals, in contrast to the electronic medical record in medicine.
Since the requirements on electronic medical records for small animals have not been consistently scientifically developed yet, this work provides an introduction to the topic and an initial research. The survey and evaluation of the requirements made on an empirical study, which was created as a written survey by questionnaire.
The survey is based on theoretical foundations of the electronic health record (EHR) and veterinary conditions.

Die vorliegende Arbeit dient der Erhebung der Anforderungen an einen Animal Health Record, die elektronische Patientenakte für Tiere. Konkret beschränkt sich die Arbeit auf die Kleintiermedizin und die Anforderungen seitens der Veterinärmedizin.
Obwohl konkrete Applikationen von der Software-Industrie bereits entwickelt wurden, existieren derzeit, im Gegensatz zur Elektronischen Patientenakte der Humanmedizin, wenige wissenschaftlich evaluierte Arbeiten zu diesem Thema. Da die Anforderungen an die Elektronische Patientenakte für Kleintiere bisher noch nicht durchgängig wissenschaftlich erarbeitet und dargestellt wurden, stellt diese Arbeit eine Einführung in die Thematik sowie eine konzentrierte Initialrecherche dar. Die Erhebung und Evaluierung der Anforderungen erfolgt über eine empirische Studie.
Diese wurde als schriftliche Befragung von Veterinärmedizinern mittels Fragebogen angelegt, wobei die Befragung auf theoretischen Grundlagen zur elektronischen Gesundheitsakte der Humanmedizin (EHR) und veterinärmedizinischen Gegebenheiten beruht.
