English abstract:
The free and open-source programming language and software
environment, R, is currently the most widely used and the most popular software for
statistics and data analysis. In this contribution, the usefulness of R in the daily work
in a statistical office is given followed by an overview of the important packages in the
above areas of official statistics and survey methodology.
