The development of engineering-based bonding techniques and the introduction of digital production techniques has resulted in an increased development in the timber building.
New wood-based materials and new combinations of composite cross-sections of different woods and wood composites are increasingly used in recent years in the field of timber building design.
New built projects using sofisticated timber tecnology are presented. The focus of interest is in the characteristics of the material, the design, production and assembly.

Die Weiterentwicklung der ingenieurmäßigen Verbindungstechniken und die Einführung der digitalen Produktionstechniken eröffnen dem Holzbau in jüngster Zeit neue Möglichkeiten.
Neue Holzwerkstoffe und neue Kombinationen zusammengesetzter Querschnitte aus unterschiedlichen Hölzern und Holzwerkstoffen werden in den letzten Jahren vermehrt im Holzbau eingesetzt und führen zu neuartigen Konstruktionen.
Im Projektteil werden beispielhaft und detailliert neue gebaute Projekte dargestellt. Im Focus der Betrachtungen stehen die Besonderheiten des Materials, der Konstruktion, der Produktion und der Montage.
