Kurzfassung englisch:
The structure and electronic surrounding of the copper(II)-coordination centres of the tetranuclear copper(II)-complex [Cu4OCl6(mor)4] (mor = morpholine) has been investigated. Single crystals of the title compound involving one third of acetone per molecule were measured by X-ray diffraction. Vibrational spectroscopy (Raman and IR) and quantum-chemical calculations were performed on solvent free species. The temperature depending magnetic susceptibility measurements down to 3.5K exhibit properties related to four paramagnetic copper(II) atoms beidged by diamagnetic atoms, i.e. the six µ2-chlorides and the central µ4-oxygen. Strucutural variations due to the presence of acetone in single crystals are discussed.
