German abstract:
The future availability of fossil fuels and growing environmental concerns have increased the pressure on automakers to develop fuel efficient vehicles with low emissions.
The hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) is a possible approach to meet these demands.
Unlike conventional vehicles, a HEV has two power sources for propulsion [1].
Therefore, a main challenge of hybrid powertrains is the multiple degrees of freedom and a large diversity of powertrain concepts is possible. Due to that fact, the hybrid operating strategy is of special importance in order to reduce the fuel consumption.
An efficient determination of these influencing factors can only be achieved with a combination of numerical simulation and test bench measurements (Engine in the Loop - EiL). With this method, accurate investigations on the combination of different electrified powertrains and strategies with an existing combustion engine are possible without the demand of hardware prototypes.
Furthermore, to find an operating strategy for a parallel hybrid powertrain concept in the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) with lowest fuel consumption, a selfdeveloped algorithm will be used for optimisation in the following investigations.
