English abstract:
"The International Encyclopedia of Housing and Home" is the first international reference work for housing scholars and professionals, that uses studies in economics and finance, in particular housing economics, to create an international portrait of housing in all its facets. This comprehensive work is edited by the housing experts Susan J. Smith, Marja Elsinga, Ong Seow Eng, Susan Wachter, and others. A table of contents signals detailed historical and theoretical material of current issues. The set contains over 500 entries, grouped into seven thematic sections about methods and approaches: economics and finance; environments; home and homelessness; institutions; policy; and welfare and well-being. Housing professionals, both academics and practitioners, will find "The International Encyclopedia of Housing and Home" useful for teaching, discovery, and research needs. Every entry stands alone on its merits, even if the seven thematic categories far exceed the sum of their parts.

"The contribution of Edwin Deutsch deals with two important model classes in microeconometrics,
which have a broad range of application in housing economics.
These are the discrete choice model and the survival model with two succeeding states.
The contribution focuses on the conditions under which the model estimates can be expected to satisfy efficiency and unbiasedness."
