English abstract:
An essential part in haemodynamic simulations is the
incorporation of the arterial elasticity by modelling the
interaction between the blood flow and the vessel wall.
We suggest a simple approach for modelling elastic
walls in lattice Boltzmann simulations of blood flow in
an artery segment. It is based on state changes of the
nodes (labelled as
fluid
and
solid
) of the underlying
lattice. This change of node type models the
displacement of the vessel wa
ll and is dependent on the
local pressure of the surrounding fluid nodes. The
approach is combined with
a continuous bounce-back
boundary condition which ensures a more gradual
displacement of the wall. We carried out numerical
experiments on a portion of a vessel to show the
feasibility of our approach. Compared to simulations
without continuous bounce-back condition, the outcome
of the simulations including it show smooth results
