Kurzfassung englisch:
This paper is designed to approach issues of 3d-scanning for the architectural documentation of ancient monuments. The scanning results have to meet certain requirements in order to be a useful tool for the study of the building history and reconstruction. We will use two examples - the Hadrian´s Temple and the Octa- gon1 on the Curetes Street (on resent research see [10] with further references) in Roman Ephesus, modern Turkey - to address questions such as starting points, goals and requirements from the perspective of architectural historians.
