The following topics are examined in this study:

1. How is the tourism sector developing in Lech (Vorarlberg) and which changes can be expected if the planned golf course will be realized, taking into account possible limits of its attraction

2. Appraisal of a survey among guests in Lech on their preferences with regard to sports and choice of destination for holidays with regard to its representative status and plausibility

3. Characteristics of top tourist destinations comparable to Lech having / having not a golf course

4. Relevance of the planned golf course for the development strategy of Lech to strengthen summer tourism

In der Studie werden folgende Problemstellungen untersucht:

1. Auswirkungen der geplanten Golfanlage bzw. der Nichtverwirklichung des Projekts auf die Tourismuswirtschaft in Lech unter Berücksichtigung möglicher Einschränkungen hinsichtlich Attraktivität der konkreten Anlage,

2. Stellungnahme zu einer Gästebefragung in Lech, insbesondere dahingehend, ob diese repräsentativ ist und die Ergebnisse plausibel sind.

3. Ermittlung vergleichbarer Fälle von international herausragenden Tourismusgemeinden,in denen eine Golfanlage errichtet wurde .

4. Stellenwert des Projektes im Rahmen der längerfristigen Entwicklungsstrategie der Gemeinde Lech zur Stärkung des Sommertourismus unter Beachtung des regionalen Kontexts.
