English abstract:
The quenching and partitioning (Q&P) process is of special interest in the field of thermal processing of semi-finished materials for complex, cold-formed high strength components without further heat treatment. To analyze the potential of the one-step Q&P heat treatment in seamless tube production, corresponding tests are carried out on 42SiCrB steel (0.44 wt% C, 1.91 wt% Si, 1.44 wt.% Cr, 0.002 wt.% B). Austenitization and interrupted quenching are performed on tube samples in an induction heating device simulating the industrial heat treatment facilities. The mechanical properties and microstructure of the simulated material are analyzed by tensile testing, metallography and electron microscopy. The volume fraction of retained austenite was determined by 27 keV XRD² transmission experiments on DELTA Synchrotron in Dortmund, Germany.
