"Supporting methods for modeling computer-interpretable guidelines";
Vortrag: Seminar at Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK), Trient, Italien (eingeladen); 26.11.2013.

Kurzfassung englisch:
Today's healthcare is faced with ever new challenges: longer life expectancy, rising costs, rapid development of new medical methods and scientific findings, just to name a few. Guidelines-based clinical decision support systems (CDSS) are seen as a means to support the different stakeholders (physicians, nursing staff, patients, etc.) in their often complex tasks in the medical care process providing personalized recommendations what to do and when to do it.
Modeling clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) in a computer-interpretable format, which establishes the knowledgebase of the CDSS, is a complex and tedious task requiring both medical and computer-science expertise. In order to ease and partly automate the modeling task, we will present methods using information extraction for generating both procedural and declarative knowledge. Furthermore, we will discuss approaches that allow an easier reuse and sharing of CPG models in different formats using transformation algorithms.
