Kurzfassung englisch:
In this talk, I shall outline some strategies to study stochastic multiscale problems for low-dimensional nonlinear SDEs. As a motivation, the influence of noise on oscillations will be considered. The results form a building block to understand complex oscillatory patterns arising in many applications. The main element of my talk will be the study of a local normal form of a folded node singularity in three dimensions via sample paths methods. Furthermore, I shall outline the prediction of tipping points and practical numerical methods for nonlinear SDEs.
