English abstract:
It is undisputed that the water absorption of facade surfaces by rain load has an essential impact on the moisture behavior, thermal insulation and durability of an exterior wall. A rough estimation of the yearly rain load allows the DIN 4108/3. Three are different
stress groups regarding the driving rain. This simple classification is not suitable for an accurate conditions assessment on an object. In the British rain standard the mean annual and short-term highest driving rain load of a facade surface for each location can be determined. A driving rain index using of correction factors has been also developed on the basis of rain measurements on a horizontal surface. The Working Group Annex 41, Subtask 3 has measured in situ. These measurement systems have some weaknesses that need to be solved.
In this study, the missing and essential data using a new developed measuring system for measuring the amount of rainfall in urban areas depended of the orientation and height of the facade area, wind speed was logged and prepared for the databases of simulation models.
Using this measurement data, the dynamic simulation method is validated.
