Kurzfassung englisch:
Clouds are a big impact factor on our earth´s climate and weather system, but are still not fully understood. This study tries to explain the supersaturation in clouds [1] by simulating conditions and receiving a metastable cubic ice via usage of various model substances, which are investigated by X-Ray Diffraction and Environmental Scanning Electron Microscopy. Further the formerly unknown structure of a metastable Nitric Acid Trihydrate (NAT is the biggest solid fraction in Polar Stratospheric Clouds) phase called alpha-NAT could be obtained by Neutron Diffraction and X-Ray Diffraction.
