Kurzfassung englisch:
The paper summarizes a part of the results of a larger research project concerning the energy Efficiency of timber houses, especially during summer time. The summer behavior in various aspects of the Topic has been examined on a full-scale research building. The aim of the current project is to revise and complete simulation tools based on measurement results. The research building is a two storey house (10.7 x 8.7 x 8.3 m) with 2 separated rooms per floor. To better describe the natural air flow, it has been measured using tracer gas (CO2), detecting emissions at open windows. In this room a CO2 concentration was introduced and the change of air determined by the subsequent decrease of this concentration. Based on these studies, the air exchange rate behavior of a detached house and the formation of climate zones within a building can be studied more closely. The data from this study will provide information on the behavior of single-family houses in summer and supports comparative calculations using simulation tools.
