Since the opening of the Kunstmuseum Thurgau 1983, art has radically changed. New media and changing conceptions of the artists and the possibilities of art led to new artistic strategies and forms of expression. Instead of brush and canvas artists started to work with video and photography. Narrative content has been replaced by concepts. The once steady work turned into processes and ideas.
The exhibition "constellation 6 Terms, premises, processes "can be experienced with some large-scale works of this change.

Seit der Eröffnung des Kunstmuseums Thurgau in der Kartause Ittingen 1983 hat sich die Kunst radikal verändert. Neue Medien und veränderte Vorstellungen der Künstlerinnen und Künstler von den Möglichkeiten der Kunst führten zu neuen künstlerischen Strategien und Ausdrucksformen. An Stelle von Pinsel und Leinwand traten Video und Fotografie. Erzählerische Inhalte wurden ersetzt durch Konzepte. Das ehemals unveränderliche Werk verwandelte sich in Prozesse und Ideen.
Die Ausstellung "Konstellation 6. Begriffe, Räume, Prozesse" lässt mit teilweise grossräumigen Werken diese Veränderung im wahrsten Sinn des Worts erleben.
