Barbara Holub shows selected projects of her art practice dealing with the role of art in the context of urban development as examples for new tools and strategies for addressing current issues of urban planning, emphasizing societal and social aspects. These artistic-spatial realizations question conventional planning strategies and place art as innovative, durational and open processes aiming at reconsidering and repositioning urban planning as societally engaged practice.

Anhand von ausgewählten, eigenen Projekten untersucht Barbara Holub die Rolle von Kunst im Kontext urbaner Entwicklungen und zeigt neue Zugangsweisen, Tools und Strategien für Stadtentwicklung, die gesellschaftliche und soziale Aspekte betont. Diese künstlerisch-räumlichen Umsetzungen hinterfragen konventionelle Vorgangsweisen von(Stadt)Planung und platzieren Kunst als innovative und gesellschaftserneuernde, langfristig orientierte, offene Prozesse.
