In this wave propagation in elastic wave guides is analyzed. Die representation of the solution with Lamb modes is presented and new asymptotic properties of the wave numbers are shown. With them a physical decision criterium for the wave numbers is derived.
The application of perfectly matched layer and Hardy space methods for guided elastic wave propagation is analyzed and the application of the hardy space method is discussed.
