English abstract:
Additive manufacturing technologies (AMT) enable part geometries of greatest complexity and almost
unlimited possibilities with respect to product design. Nowadays, the choice of materials ranges from
plastics to metals and ceramics.
AMT so far is not an "off the shelf" production technology, requiring specialized equipment and know-how
and companies are only reluctantly employing AMT. In order to lower the entry barrier to AMT, alternatives
to "owning" an additive manufacturing facility are investigated.
This paper presents a web-based production platform and an organizational model that lowers the entry
barriers for industrial companies to implement additive manufacturing technologies. Finally, the prototypical
implementation of this platform will be illustrated.

Keywords:
