Archipelago groups are first introduced as quotients of topologist's free product modulo the normal closure of the naturally embedded free product. Certain isomorphism are established.
Such groups embed locally free groups provided they are not too large.
Finally, cotorsion is generalized to the nonabelian case and statements about fundamental groups of spaces with arbitrarily small loop representatives are made. Finally it is shown how in the abelianization the quotient of the Specker group mod the direct sum of all Z's embeds as a pure subgroup.

Archipelago Gruppen: Freies Topologenprodukt von Gruppen modulo dem vom freien Produkt erzeugten Normalteiler. Isomorphiesätze bei unterschiedlicher Wahl der Faktoren werden gezeigt.
Solche Gruppen können universell lokal frei sein: Jede solche Gruppe von entsprechend beschränkter Kardinalität bettet ein.
Kotorsion wird auf den nichtabelschen Fall verallgemeinert und die Isomorphie aller Abelisierungen obiger Gruppen gezeigt (bei entsprechend formulierter Bedinung an die Kardinalitäten).
