"Managing ammonia load variations on the deammonification process - Lessons learnt from the demonstration scale";
Vortrag: Ozwater 2014, Brisbane; 29.04.2014 - 01.05.2014; in: "Tagungsband (USB Stick)", (2014), 7 S.

Kurzfassung deutsch:
Deammonification is a proven, cost effective, biological treatment process for high strength ammonia effluent such as digested sludge centrate from municipal Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs). The process relies on various types of bacteria, including Anammox, that require specific development conditions. Ammonia load variations from upstream operations can therefore have potential risks for the deammonification process. Several pilot trials have been conducted to assess the impact of the ammonia load variations, and to develop and trial strategies to efficiently manage such variations for full scale application.
