English abstract:
This paper presents the results of a case study on the
application of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
simulations for assessment of ventilation systems.
The case study concerns an office space in Austria
equipped with combined Displacement Ventilation
(DV) and Personalized Ventilation (PV). Monitored
data provide a basis to document the indoor
conditions and user behavior. Calibrated CFD-based
air flow simulations were performed to support a
better understanding of the airflow phenomena as
well as modelling different design alternatives.
Moreover, the implications of alternative design
configurations for indoor environmental variables
could be computationally investigated.
