"Spatial coupling in the CO oxidation reaction on Pt: mesoscopic versus nano-scale";
Vortrag: International Conference on Atom Probe Tomography & Microscopy, Stuttgart; 31.08.2014 - 05.09.2014; in: "ATP&M", (2014), S. 65.

Kurzfassung englisch:
Spatial coupling in the CO oxidation reaction on μm-sized Pt(hkl) domains of a polycrystalline Pt foil was in situ studied by PEEM (photoemission electron microscopy) in the 10-5 mbar pressure range. The same reaction was studied under similar conditions by FEM and FIM on the nm-sized Pt(hkl) facets of a Pt nanotip. The results show the essential role of the sample size and of the morphology of the grain (facet) boundary in the diffusion mediated spatial coupling of the reaction and in the propagation of the reaction fronts. The effect on the observed phenomena on the performance of the real catalytic systems will be discussed.
