English abstract:
Goal of this work was to support the development of'a flexible printing technology by optimizing the
appropriate printing parameters. The testing was done using the screen-printed silver-polymer paste on
Kapton foil substrates in order to develop conductor lines with high conductivity, low dimensions and
different and customizable shapes. For the experiments Murakami MS 50 μm photoresists were applied to
400-mesh stainless steel screens and different layouts were implemented on the screens by means of UVlight
exposure. Three different layou_ts have been designed which allows characterization of cured silverpolymer
paste systems used. The first and the second were one-line and two-line layouts with contact pads
with a rectangular area of 500 μm x 500 μm and with line widths of different dimensions (70, 100, 150 and
200 μm). The third was a two-spirals layout with line widths of 150 μm and 200 μm, with the line spacing
equal to their respective line widths. Squeegee velocity, pressure and snap-off distance were tested in order
to find the best set-up for the screen printing parameters. The time required for the paste to dry was
determined by profilometer measurement of the paste height variation during time. Then the samples were
cured in a drying furnace at different temperature and duration in order to find out the best curing conditions.
Different colors of the front grid will be tested also, in order to achieve a high design freedom on solar
module level. .
