"Principles of Elasticity for the Integration of Software Services, People and Things";
Talk: University of Science Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (invited); 2014-12-22.

English abstract:
Elasticity is seen as one of the main characteristics of Cloud Computing today. But elasticity is often viewed as scaling in/out computational resources, which basically means resource elasticity. In fact, elasticity is a multi-dimensional perspective in which elasticity can be based on resource, quality and cost/benefit dimensions, each of them can be further divided into several sub-dimensions. In this talk we will present the concept of multi-dimensional elasticity, the main principles of elasticity and how these principles play a role in the development and integration of software services, people, and things into native cloud applications/systems, which can be modeled, programmed, and deployed on a large scale in multiples of cloud infrastructures.
Based on these principles, we will present our techniques to program and engineer elasticity features in dynamic lifecycle development and execution of cloud services constructed from diverse types of cloud service units. First, we will present designs and features of main core services for monitoring, control, deployment, and testing of cloud software services. Second, we will discuss how we virtualize and provision human-based services. Third, we will introduce our techniques to provision software-defined Internet of Things. Finally, we illustrate how to integrate these types of services for achieving multi-dimensional elasticity.
