Kurzfassung englisch:
Non-invasive estimates of wave reflection are independent prognostic markers in patients with normal systolic funciton, showing a direct relationship between the extent of ware reflection and cardiovascular risk. In systolic heart failure, wave reflection indices, based on pulse wave analysis (PWA), are reduced whereas prognostis is impaired as well, as compared to normal systolic function. We aimed to investigate the amount of wave reflection by means of PWA and wave separation analysis (WSA) in patients with severely impaired systolic function.
