"Quantum Cascade Lasers for process analytical chemistry";
Hauptvortrag: SCIX 2014, Reno, Nevada, US (eingeladen); 28.09.2014 - 03.10.2014.

Kurzfassung englisch:
The special properties of mid-IR quantum cascade lasers (QCLs) render them most attractive for use in a variety of different applications in process analytical chemistry. This presentation will first report on experimental results obtained by step-scan FTIR spectroscopy concerning the emission properties of distributed feedback (DFB) QCLs and surface emitting ring QCLs. Application of these lasers in the field of petrochemical analysis will be shown. This will include the determination of oil in water in produced water as well as gas sensing on the example of sensitive measurement of H2S and CS2 in process streams.
