English abstract:
The Adrienne method (CEN/TS 1793-5 [2]) is a test method to determine the in-situ acoustic performance
of noise barriers for sound re ection and sound insulation. In this work as part of my
dissertation the test method for sound re ection was simulated with the 3D Boundary Element
Method. The open source software Acousto was used for the simulations. From the results in the
frequency domain, time domain impulse responses were calculated. The impulse responses were then
analysed according to the Adrienne method, which means, the propagation corrected energy content
of the re ected peak was compared to the free eld impulse response to calculate the sound re ection
index RI.
