"Correlation of the loss in PV module performance with the charcteristics and ageing behaviour of the used backsheets";

English abstract:
The influence of the type of backsheet on the long time performance of PV-modules was evaluated. The characteristics as well as their ageing induced changes of different types of photovoltaic (PV) backsheets, isolated and assembled in PV-modules, were investigated with various analytical methods. The chemical, physical, optical and mechanical property changes which were induced by the isolated and combined influence of environmental factors (like radiation, temperature, humidity and corrosive gases) in artificial ageing experiments were then correlated to the loss in module performance.
